Any future bike or other sporting goals?
Bike - Bacchetta tandem? Velomobile or anything new the Bacchetta brains can bring out.
Any Ultra crewing experience?
HOS-500 for JS. I'd rather be riding.
Why did you accept the crewing position for JS's Solo RAAM attempt?
I begged, then simply just donated enough to buy my way in. RAAM is the pinnacle of Ultra Cycling, to be part of such and epic adventure is an honor and an experience that I will have for the rest of my life.
Anything intimidate you about crewing for JS's Solo RAAM attempt?
Staying positive when things get really challenging and keeping the stress levels low.
The smell, on the HOS 500 our van was a stink wagon.!
Lastly - watching your friend struggle through the low points and to keep pushing him on.
Favorite quote or saying?
"You know, people have no clue what we are doing out here" nameless Bacchetta rider.
If JS screams "MUFFIN!!!" at you at 3 a.m. what would you do?
Holler back "No thanks, just had some pie!" Be happy, it's a good thing if he is eating!
If you have crewed for or raced with JS before do you have a fun experience that can be shared?!?
Crew for HOS 500 - In the dark, I stepped into a pile of fire ants, stripping down to my underwear and jumped back in the fart wagon because JS had picked that very moment to go! Fart wagon,,,, you'll have to ask SK about that one.
I love to see JS ears get pinned back every time he hears a derogatory comment about recumbent or someone with local knowledge. This year at Calvin's Challenge, a guy tells his buddy "We'll be passing those things tomorrow". Obviously it never happened.
